Somehow, even for everyday meals, the Dining Room seems set for a festive occasion.

A long unbroken promenade is on either side of the deck. Opening from this are the Lounge, Smoke Room, Writing Room, Library and other spaces, giving a clear view of the sea over low bulwarks. The Writing Room, in classic French detail, with furniture in the Empire style, is on the port side, and the Library, similarly treated, is on the starboard side.

On A Deck is a charming playroom for children. It is decorated to resemble a street scene in Spain, showing on one side the exterior of a house with a lantern over the entrance. Other walls depict landscapes from Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes.
An excellently appointed Gymnasium opens on the Game Deck. Here are all the appliances for systematic and regular exercise There is abundant space on the adjoining deck for deck tennis, shuffleboard, quoits and other interesting sports. A barber shop and hair dressing parlor has a skilled attendant in charge to serve discriminating patrons.

So carefully has the comfort of passengers been considered that it is not necessary for them to walk from deck to deck. Two large passenger elevators augment the broad, low-tread stairways that connect all the passenger decks.
The beautifully designed Dining Saloon as well as its fine service appeal to everyone. Its cheerful atmosphere, its fine proportion and balance, are most pleasing and stimulating. A well opening through the deck above gives it a superb height, and the nicely spaced columns that support the surrounding mezzanine add to the formal, yet not oppressive dignity of the room.

Of Ward Line cuisine and dining service, it is not necessary to speak in detail.
